Kathmandu-Chitwan-Nagarkot Tours

Overview

The vast Kathmandu Valley is a treasure house of the World Heritage, such as Patan, Bhaktapur, Changunarayan testifying the depth and the vicissitudes of history. A sounthwestern town, Lumbini, known as the birthplace of Buddha proudly shows you the archeological masterpeices such as Asoka’s stone pillars, Maya goddess made of stone etc.

Just 120 km away to the West from the capital, a vast plain and almost never-touched Chitwan lie along with the Indian border. Bengal tigers, rhinoceroses, deer, bears, leopards, wild boars, crocodiles, and more than 350 kinds of wild birds are just the symbol of its riches. Exploring in the jungles seated on elephants called Elephant Safari and canooing tour are also the very popular attractions getting you to know the true natures.

There are the trekking having a lakeside city, Pokhara, as their foothold. It is carried out from 2 nights (4 nights from Kathmandu) and alone traveler. The course trekking through Dhumpus as well and you will have a magnificent view of Machhapuchhure and Annapurna.

Nagarkot is the best place to view the Himalaya from the comfort of your hotel balcony. Just 32km from Kathmandu, the village is packed with hotels, stacked up on a ridge facing one of the broadest possible views of the Himalaya. Between October and March a trip to Nagarkot will nearly always be rewarded with a view, but be warned the mountains are notorious for disappearing behind cloudy skies on any given day (or hour). It can get very cold at Nagarkot, so bring warm clothing.

Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival
Upon Arrrival at Kathmandu Airport , Meet , assist & Tramsfer to Hotel .

PM: Proceed for half day sight seeing of Kathmandu valley, visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, an old palace complex, Comprising of Hanuman Dhoka Durbar, the old palace Kastamandap temple, under which the name Kathmandu is derived. Kumari Temple, the temple of living goddess. The gigantic figure Kal Bhairav etc, hereafter, proceed to the Swayambhunath Temple, a stupa structured Buddhist temple, situated on a hill lock overlooking the Kathmandu Valley. The temple is popularly known as monkey temple (find yourself why is it so called)
Overnight at Hotel .

Day 2– Kathmandu – Chitwan (B/L/D)
After Breakfast Drive to Chitwan , Chitwan is 150 K.M. from Kathmandu & will takes around 4 & Half hours . Chitwan is one of the finest National parks in Asia, renowned for its dense concentration of wildlife and top class tourist lodges, which provide the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat. Chitwan which means the ‘heart of the Jungle.’ After check in at the resort, rest of the day will be spent in the national part enjoying activities like canoeing along the Rapti River, watching birds flock along the river and small crocodiles are often found along the river bank while we float past. A ride on the elephant back into the forest hopefully to see some wildlife like the one horn rhino, deer or even a royal Bengal Tiger. Enjoy a camp fire with a cultural dance in the night.

Day 3: Chitwan National Park(B/L/D)
Full day will be spent in the National park enjoying activies like canoeing along the Rapti River, watching birds flock along the river and small crocodiles are often found along the river bank while we float past. We also visit Elephant breeding centre .
Overnight at resort.

Day 4: Chitwan – Kathmandu / Nagarkot (B/D)
After Breakfast drive to Nagarkot via Kathmandu ,
Nagarkot, a famous hill resort of Nepal, at an elevation of 1400M above sea level and is hemmed in by forested hills which rise over 2700m high, making them excellent vantage points to view the Himalaya that tow behind
them. The panorama of the major peaks of eastern Nepal Himalayas including Mt. Everest can be seen from here. Late afternoon proceed for a short trek to see the spectacular sunset over the Himalayas
Overnight at Hotel .

Day 5 : Nagarkot / Kathmandu ( B)
Wake up early in the morning for the spectacular sunrise view. . After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu . On the way , proceed for a city sightseeing of Kathmandu visiting the Boudhanath Stupa, where it stands with four pair of eyes in the four cardinal direction keeping watch for righteous behavior and human prosperity. Later visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River.

Day 6 : Departure(B)
Transfer to Airport in time for flight for onward destination.
